How To Make: Cannabis Brownies

Ever been offered some brownies from friends or family and think, is there cannabis in these? Happens every time. For those of you making brownies for the first time, you don't need to be a chef. With this simple recipe, you'll be enjoying your edibles in no time.

Ingredients & Tools: 

  • Favourite Brownie Mix

  • 1/3 cup of canna-butter/oil

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1/2 cup of chocolate chips

  • 1/4 cup melted chocolate (helps with the taste of cannabis)

  • Saucepan & Baking Pan

  • Wooden Spoon

 STEP 1. MAKE CANNA-BUTTER/OIL

  • Put 1/3 butter or oil into saucepan. Turn stove on LOW until butter is melted.

  • Add cannabis to the butter/oil

  • Stir continuously for 1 hour. Low heat is very important when it comes to avoiding the evaporation of THC

  • Let cool for 15 minutes

  • Strain butter/oil into bowl with cheesecloth placed over top to strain

  • Press any remaining cannabis in cheesecloth to get excess butter/oil

  • Place butter in fridge to harden

Cooking Instructions

 Step 1:

  • Grab a mixing bowl, add cannabis butter to the brownie mix and whip until smooth.

Step 2:

  • Preheat your over to 350°F 

Step 3:

  • Spray a 9" x 12" pan with cooking oil and then add the brownie mix into the pan.

Step 4:

  • Place the pan gently into your oven at the desired tempature.

Step 5:

  • Let the brownies bake for 25 - 30 minutes until the top layer becomes firm.

Step 6:

  • Take the browies out of the oven and cut into even squares. (aprox. 25 pieces)

Step 7:

  • Serve and enjoy!

 

STEP 3. CONSUMING THE RIGHT DOSE

  •  Always start low to make sure you feel comfortable. The average consumer is satisfied with 5-10mg as their first dose, take a bite or two and wait up to 4 hours to see how you feel

  • Be sure to have something in your stomach before eating the brownie

  • If you think you have taken too much, try to wait it out and drink lots of water

Consuming cannabis edibles has a completely different effect compared to smoking. When smoking cannabis, the effects are almost immediate, where as edibles can take up to 2 hours to kick in and the high can last up to 8 hours.
